I got another letter from Maman today - apparently we're going to Biarritz for Christmas. That will be nice, I can't wait to see everyone.

Bailey, any luck finding that scarf yet?

I'm going to take a trip down to the kitchens.

If anyone would like to join me?

Baileyyyyyyyy XD [Tuesday
September 20th, 2005 at 9:58pm]
Callie sat in the library, behind a mountain of texts. She was in a deserted corner, away from the hustle and bustle of the students goofing off.

She sighed and looked up from one of the textbooks, wondering when Bailey would arrive. She had practically flown from her dorm to get here, after putting on a fresh coat of make-up and brushing her hair.

She was doomed.

There's going to be a tournament this year.

It should be interesting.

I mean, I don't play quidditch so it's not like I'm upset that there isn't going to be any.

Baliey, are you doing anything today?

I've got all my supplies for school, I can't wait.

Maman has been nagging to no end - it should be a relief just to get away from home until Christmas.

And this time, I might actually have a friend!

Diagon Alley [Friday
August 19th, 2005 at 11:03pm]
Callie and her mother flooed to Diagon Alley shortly after returning to their apartment in Dover. Callie was anxious to visit Flourish and Blotts, and her mother had developed quite a crush on the manager of Quality Quidditch Supplies, embarrasingly enough. They had seperated almost immediatley when they arrived - which had been hours ago.

She was still immeresed in a huge pile of books when she turned right into someone, knocking them over.

She muttered a quite, "Sorry," and bent to pick up the books that had falling, banging heads with the other person.

"Zut alors!" she cried. "I'm so, so sorry."

Finally, she got a look at the other person, who appeared not much older than herself.

School's about to start - I'm so excited. I mean, I love mes cousins, but even Therri gets a little boring at times. And the library! I miss the library! Biarritz has practically everthing except for a wizards' bookshop - I'd have to go nearly to Paris for one.

Maman and I are packing to go home right now. To Dover, anyway. She's talking about living in Biarritz permenatley once I graduate from Hogwarts. I wouldn't mind - I love everthing about this town. Even the surfers, as many times as Therri has tried to teach me and I've given up. I have friends here. Actual friends, not the kind that I have at school, the friends who want you for help with their schoolwork, but then never send you so much as an owl durring the summer.

I wonder if my Dad had these problems. Probably not. I bet everyone loved him.

Maman took me up into the attic today. Apparently now that I'm fifteen, I'm old enough to know that Dad wasn't killed in a boating accident, like she always told me.

Instead, she handed me old, yellowed issues of Le Loup-Garou and the Daily Prophet, crying a little. "Lis-tu. Maintenant."

So, I read it. Three times. Then I left.

I've been sitting in the Bibliothèque Biarritz for about three hours now. At first I was mad, but now I'm just ... empty.

What do you do when you find out that your whole life, your mother has been lying to you? That your dad actually did something good with his life, was practically a hero and fought and died for what he believed in, and all along you thought he died in a boating accident. He was murdered because he fought for good, and his killers fought for evil. That's something to be proud of, not to hide.

I don't even know what I'm going to say when she finally figures out where I am. How can I even look her in the eye? What else has she kept hidden from me?
